Since its inception, KAACR has been implementing programmes on child rights. The overall aim of the programmes has been to promote information exchange and cooperation among organizations working with children and to advocate for policy reforms which address the interests and well being of children in Kenya as reflected in the UNCRC.

The programme being implemented are in five areas as shown below;

1. Children & Youth rights advocacy programme

2. Counseling, referral & monitoring unit of Child Abuse and neglect

3. Information, Communication & Documentation programme

4. Gender Awareness programmes

5. Policy and legal reform programmes
