An article from "Children's Voices"
We need Freedom of Association

Children are disadvantages because of the bad laws in Kenya. A good example is the intimidation and harassment meted out by police officers. It happened when I attended a political meeting in our area. When the meeting was underway, we saw heavily armed policemen. They had come to disperse the meeting because it was illegal. They started beating everyone including the politicians. They whipped me mercilessly. I realized that is I do not escape, I could get killed.

To this day I do not understand why policemen beat us.
